Fever 103 with covid negative
My son was admited at BLK hospital on 12 aug because of high fever 103 and he wad discharged on 14 Aug.at that time he was under observation in PICU for first day..second day he was shifted to ward with no fever...3rd day on 14 aug they discharged my son.beacuse all the reports was normal..but on 14 night at 12am he again got fever with 103 temperature...now i am unable to under stand what to do...he is also having acne on fore head..can that cause high fever.?and if yes what kind of medecine will work on that.

Mention age of child... Give paracetamol syp for fever and if child playful & active then dont worry..

May be fever was not there if fever medicine was given. Acne does not cause high grade fever unless there will be secondary infection there. To come on conclusion i need detail history and reports and photo.

Monitor fever if more than 100.4F give paracetamol as per dose. Consult pediatrician in person or online. If report is not done need to do reports

Biphasic fever can be seen in COVID 19. IF contact history is there then repeat the test.

In such scenario monitoring of temperature is a must. Keep a record of fever spikes and degree of temperature. You should have shared a pic of acne and various blood reports done at BLK. If high suspicion or contact positive for covid, repeat testing can be done. You are correct in mentioning that pustules can also cause fever. A pic would have helped in making a diagnosis.
