Excessive Wind
My baby is 2 weeks old, she doesnt have colic but for the past few evenings, she gets rather uncomfortable in her sleep and makes a lot of noise, this only happens from about 3am and lasts for the morning. I wind her as much as possible and she does have a lot of wind come up but she’s still making this noise and is very uneasy. What can I do?

All exclusive breast fed babies are bound to have disturbances cause of gas,as they are only on milk feeds. Thats the reason why burping post feeds is very important and high recommened atleast for 10-15 mins, as it gives a way out for the gas which is formed. Also the stools in them would be explosive in nature again for the same reason. Medicines are available to get relief from the colic, but are to be used very judiciously and only when required. There are many other factors that can cause discomfort in a newborn.
Next Steps
consult your paediatrician, whenever you visit next. Repeated counselling sessions are required for a newborn ; specially for a first time mother.
Health Tips
1) Continue feeding on demand followed by appropriate burping atleast for 10-15minutes.2) You may also try placing her in a propped up position for a while after feeding( consult your doctor to learn the proper way.).  3) Use medications only if required...Take care
