Excessive Weight Gain
Hello Doc,
I have been on Anti-depressants since last one year. For initial 3 months I was on Clonazepam and Nortryptiline. Then later on I was switched to Axepine 50 MG , Depsival Forte , Druthip 75 MG. I got tongue protrusion because of Axepine , hence the doctor stopped it. Now I am on Depsival Forte and Druthip 75 MG. But , I have gained weight excessively. I was 88 Kgs in the month of April 2021 and now , I am 97.5 kgs. I really cannot afford to be like this. I don't have any underlying medical conditions like BP , Sugar , Thyroid or PCOD. My periods are regular. Please suggest me something here. I need help! Thanks in advance.

Escitalopram is unlikely to cause significant weight gain, however druthip can. If your symptoms are controlled you can shift to weight neutral drugs. Bupropion can help if there is no contraindications.
