Ested positive for HPV 56 (High Risk)
I am a 40 years old male. I got genital warts and saw a doctor. He said it is HPV and sent me for a test. The test says I have HPV type 56, a High Risk one. But my question is how did I get warts then? I read everywhere that low risk HPV causes warts and high risk ones do not. I am confused, can one explain this?
