Eosinophilia post hydatid cyst removal
I had hydatid cyst removal from lung, with normal eosinophil level before, and day 1 post surgery, however I did have a concommitant liver cyst which was diagnosed at the same time of the lung cyst, for which as well I did have a PAIR technique done for. Eosinophilia developed post removal of the lung cyst and before the removal of the liver one. What are the possible explanations for this acute eosinophilia postop?

Eosinophils may rise because of any inflammation. There may be some inflammatory process going on post op which may have caused this.
