I recent had a total blood count test, where all the parameters seemed within reference intervals, except Eosinophils, which was at 18 (Range given was 1-6). The test impression said "Normocytic normochromic blood picture with Eosinophilia". What does this mean? I had a season change allergy with cough and congestion recently.

You yourself explained your query ,
Eosinophil count rises in allergic conditions , worm/parasitic infestations, burns, eczema like skin disease , leukemia and several other conditions but as you already know your clinical diagnosis which is the most common as well and your rest of the reports are within normal limits. So sit back and relax its just allergy.

Eosinophils get increase when you have allergy. Your doctor should prescribe you some antiallergics like Cetrizine, Montelukast , Fexofenadine etc.
