Which test is better for diagnosing Peripheral Neuropathy: EMG or Nerve Conduction Study? (If you can only do one of them).
For context, my 53 year old mother feels tingling in her left leg, but her brain, neck, thoracic, and lumbar MRI were normal. Her doctor suspects there is nerve compression around the left of her buttocks which feels slightly painful when pressed. But the doctor will do only one study: EMG.
