Hi there , Ectopic pregnancy consists of triad of 1. Amenorrhea ( 6 - 10 weeks ) = no periods 2. Pain in abdomen 3. Bleeding PV Bleeding per vagina may be present or absent with ectopic pregnancy So it doesn't rule out ectopics

1. No ectopic pregnancy is still pregnancy so no periods. 2. Yes it rules out pregnancy but certain cases there can be bleeding due to other causes in pregnancy which can be mistaken for periods, so better to have a negative UPT to be more sure.
