My relative(50years) have hypertension since 8years, yesterday he undergone 2d echo and ecg
His BP while ecg and echo was 200/100mmhg and he is suffering from whitecoat effect in hospital his bp shoots up to high while at home after taking tablets his bp is always less than 135/85mmhg and he gained 2kg weight since 2 months.
he never had heart attack till now and also no symptoms
Ecg report says - q wave inferior leads, sinus tachycardia
Echo report says
IVS - 16mm
PWD-15mm
EF - 60%
EVD -70ml
Mitral valve thickened and grade 2 MR + 2jets
Concentric LVH+
GRADE 1 LVDD
no effusion, no clots
No RWMA
Normal LV systolic function (LVEF-60%)
All others are normal
Doctor suggested he had systemic hypertension and gave BLOOD PRESSURE tablets and told nothing
Please evaluate reports and provide suggestions for further consultation and how to deal with whitecoat effect.
