NEVER GET BODY PIERCING DONE USING GUNSHOT! A good ENT Surgeon will use a wide bore surgical needle (15/16G)to do the piercing. This is much less traumatic as the sharp bewels of the needle slice through the tissues smoothly with minimal pain or trauma! Then the intended gold/silver/platinum jewellery may be threaded through the needle bore and the needle is withdrawn subsequently. I usually prescribe an ear antibiotic ointment to apply to the wound for a few days and to keep the region dry for 2 days
