Since yesterday my daughter( 2months) is having some yellowish fluid coming out of her left ear, so we consulted ENT doctor and he told that she had cold because of which her ear drum now has a hole and all that fluid behind her ear drum is now coming out. He advised to give Moxiclav 5drops in morning and evening. Is the hole in her ear will affect in future also or it will get healed completely in few days?

This perforation will heal on its own.
To support it further u shd be in touch with your Dr and pediatrician also. Proper positioning of baby during breast feeding is very very imp to avoid such issues. Meet the pediatrician and take counselling regarding position and timing of feed
Yes the hole will heal up on its own. Continue the antibiotic drops as advised. Also give “Nasivion -S” or Nasoclear (saline) nasal drops 1 drop in each nostril, prior to every feed to your baby.
Please be mindful never to feed your baby lying down on your bed. Baby’s head should always be slightly propped up and you should be seated while breast feeding your baby.
These small precautions will go a long way in avoiding ear infections in your baby.
