Hello, the dry flaky things could be the wax itself (the wax can be sticky type or flaky type). Or it could be inflammation of ear canal skin primarily in ear or spread from scalp if you have dandruff etc . For wax just waxsol drops will work if it doesn’t then please consult a dermatologist for treatment
