Fluid drainage after coronary bypass surgery not stopping
My father had a coronary bypass surgery 14 days back. He had 3 chest tubes after the surgery. 2 of those were removed within 5 days. Now it’s been 14 days but the last one hasn’t been removed yet. The doctor is saying that his fluid level is fluctuating. Yesterday it was 250 ml, today it increased to 300ml. Is this serious cause of concern? Can it be life threatening? I am scared.
