Measuring tape and infantometer are two different things though both is used to measure height. The latter us the recommended apparatus . Besides measuring tape if stretchable particularly if it is made of rubber then measurements are nor reliable. To see if the height and weight if the baby is ok then best way is to measure and plot it in appropriate growth charts . U can see your Paediatrician and find out if your babies growth is fine
