Different opinions r there. My opinion is that get it done after 1yr of age bcoz sexual maturity and secondary sexual characters has to develop till this age. In India,, Surgery is the only permanent option available.

yes available, but how far it is practiced in India is unknown, neutering doesn't have any side effects when its done after 8months,
