Does mitral value prolapse gives chest pain

I am 46 year old male. I work in a clothes store. Yesterday while closing the store I had a severe chest pain. I went in for a E.C.G. and 2D echocardiogram. In the report it says mitral valve prolapse. So in mitral valve prolapse does one get chest pain?
