Difficulty in passing stool by premture
Hi dr. My son is delivered at 31 weeks 4 days .Being premature, he makes faces while pooping and passes negligible stool after sometime . He takes time to pass stool but the stool is soft . He is on breastfeed and sometimes he takes milk at 4 hours gap. He passes gas also . Is my baby constipated or having gas . Should i take him to the pediatrition . Is it normal ? I am giving him rantac sos and colicaid which is also sos. I dnt know the exact reason. Please revert.

If he is passing normal stools. Need not to give him anything. Passing gas is a normal thing with infants. Just put him over shoulder after every feed and backpat him till he burps.. he'll be fine.
