Echo taken one year back mentions Aortic Root 36 mm Dialted Ascending Aorta 46 mm . Repeat Echo taken today due to chest discomfort mentions. Aortic Root 38 mm Ascending Aorta 48 mm  (2 mm increase ) Mild AR Conc LVH . Advised next Echo/CT after 6 months. Is this age related change? Given Concor AM5 once daily and told to ensure systolic bp not exceed 130 mm hg Is this a serious condition.

Get a CT aortogram done for your proper assessment of Aortic root. N follow up should be with CT as it is precise in measurements. Echo is not reliable for exact measurements as it is observer dependent. ascending aorta more than 45 mm is definitely dilated.
