Is it possible to measure accurate eye power, by dilated retinoscopi examination? And does the result of eye power can be different from normal distant vision test?

Hi,
I think it should be the doctors prerogative , in which case you need a dilated check n which you may not ..depending on many factors .
eye power can be measured correctly with or without dilatation depending on age, type of number etc..
Both number can look different to you, doctor will decide what to prescribe !
