Hi, I am full imbalance while walking, I have been diagnosed as lateral semicircular dehiscence, but I have post history of ear infection due to that I had taken twice ear surgery, now again surgery that's total mastorid surgery, after doing this surgery I will free from symptom throughout my life?? if in case again infection came then it may causes serious life threatening problem as there is no middle ear so it will directly go brain in future??? Please help me clearly!!

Post operative lateral semicircular dehiscence needs to be closed so that your imbalance problem gets settled and also to avoid any inner ear infections which can get transmitted by that lateral canal. Once inner is secured during surgery usually by bone cement there is no way inner ear or brain can get infected as inner ear not middle ear is near to brain. I think only surgery is option for you
