Diabetes - Fluctuation

Asked for Female, 30 Years

My mom has recovered from covid. Steroid medication tapering completed.. sugar levels were high and still fluctuating.. Each time the doctor changes medication for diabetes, we see that the sugar levels are actually rising for first 2 days of new medicine..why is that so?
