Well...my answer is Yes.
If a diabetic person...does not take proper care and treatment and remains uncontrolled...he is bound to get one or other complication od diabetes....
And uncontrolled diabetes on an average shortens the life by around 16 yrs...
But
But
If a person is has very good control of diabetes his life span is normal/near normal.
Also....it depends on type of diabetes too....above things are for type 2 Diabetes...
But for type 1 diabetes in India....i find it rare for general patients(not rich ones) to survive above 50yrs..

Nothing like that it’s a general myth that’s it
You can live like normal peoples life expectancy by doing regular exercise , diabetic diet , and few medications to keep your sugar controlled all the time
Chill nothing like that
Please don't use Google for increasing your medical knowledge. Diabetics can be treated with proper medication. 415 million people are living with diabetis in the world, they all have good life span. But a undiagnosed diabetic patient is more prone to loose their life early.
