I cannot suggest a good or a bad cream on this forum. I can just give u suggestions about treatment. Treatment options for scars depend on the grade. Grade 1 scars can be treated with creams. Grade 2 to 4 need procedures. Procedures for scars range from CO2 LASER to dermaroller or microneedling. Laser is done once in 6 to 8 weeks. Roller is done once in 3 to 4 weeks. I usually ask the patient to choose which procedure they want depending on how much time they have, their budget and whether they can stay at home for a few days after the procedure. If it grade 1 scars creams will remove the marks in about 2 months. If not then you will need a stronger version of the creams, called as peels. Peels are also done by a dermatologist the clinic once a month. Higher grade scars will require about 4 to 6 sessions of laser or about 8 sessions of roller. The improvement with these procedures is life long as it helps your skin to produce new fibres which reshape the scars and make it less visible. Warm regards. Dr. Rajdeep Mysore.
