Person who have thyroid problem may have mood disorder like depression . Patient s with depressive features and also other thyroid features like weight gain,cold intolerance etc ..and person with depressive features not responding to antidepressants, recurrent depressive disorder,, we routinely do thyroid test.

It is important to do Thyroid tests in depression as one of the causes for Depression is reduced Thyroid levels . If so only by correcting thyroid hormone, depression will be lifted .
