Depression and mono
Hi. I was diagnosed with Mono in April. In late April I started feeling depressed, and it's gotten worse. I'm going to get help for it, but I'm wondering if there's a connection between the virus that causes mono and depression. Thanks.

Depression is not seen in people with mononucleosis and there's no recorded cases of it. Mononucleosis is treatable and can be cured completely, most people get infected by it at some point of time or the other. I do strongly recommend that you meet a psychiatrist to get help to control the depression.
