No sometimes merely excavating the caries is sufficient.drilling is done to create retention fomrm for deep cavities.so donot think of bonding only.for further details you can consult me

Sir if you mean bonding filling material for that drilling is necessory to remove decayed tooth structure so that cavity dosent progress further .

To know better, what exactly do you mean by bonding?
If you mean treatment for dental cavities. In some(rare) cases cavities can be treated without drill. But in most cases ,it needs drilling.
