Delayed periods
My wife had her last menstrual period on 6th June. We checked for pregnancy using the kit but it was negative. This is not the first time that her periods are late. We did some tests earlier and found that she has PCOS. She is having MYOTAB for around 2 months now as recommended by the doctor. But she is worried if it

Pcod is a condition in which there will be hormonal disturbances leading to problems with the monthly release of the egg. This indirectly manifests as irregular periods. First thing she needs to do is to loose weight if she is obese. Further treatment depends on whether you are considering to have a child now or not. If u r planning to have a child your doctor will consider medications to induce ovulation .If not she will be put on regular hormonal pills to get monthly periods which may also act as a contraceptive.
