Delay in periods
I am a 24 year old female. I have chronic anemia, hence I was advised to go for iron infusion (5 times). Now 3 doses are over. Usually my periods are on the clock, never delayed and they last for 5 days.I was supposed to get my periods on 25 th, as of now there has been a delay of 2 days. My query is can the delay be attributed to iron infusion?

Hello there. I can understand your concern. It's just been two days so I would advise you to just wait a few more days. Stress is a cause for delay of periods and being anemic is one kind of a stress. Iron infusion rarely causes such things. If you are sexually active, then consider taking a Urine pregnancy test at home. Best regards. Dr. Anil Kumar Jain. Bangalore.
