Please show a Developmental Pediatrician or a Pediatric Neurologist urgently: since there is definite delay in development milestones, there is urgent need to find out extent of delay (ie current level of gross motor, fine motor, social, language milestones achieved), also basic workup for developmental delay, & then for early intervention. Sometimes, if metabolic causes, can even be reversed or further damage prevented! The key is early intervention, so that the best possible can be achieved.
Next Steps
Developmental Assessment, basic workup for developmental delay, vision & hearing assessment, +/- neuroimaging, +/- EEG
Health Tips
Plasticity of brain has to be understood: with the right training, near-normal functioning can be targeted (& possibly achieved).
