Can a non-diabetic person who had an angioplasty surgery take Dapavel 5mg medicine 0-1-0 for improving the heart muscle. I understand this medicine is taken for Diabetes control. A Cardiologist has advised this medicine for my brother after his angioplasty surgery that was done a month ago for curing his dry cough ( coughing 2-3 times in an hour) issue. Fluid intake is max 1 l trs.

You need a medical consultation. Unless we have the prescription, we would not know. Angioplasty is done for blockages in arteries supplying the heart, not for dry cough. Fluid intake has been kept on the lower side, meaning that the heart function is deranged owing to previous heart attacks. Best wishes.
