Dandruff problem
Hi, I have something like dandruff in my hair. It look like dandruff but it's spreading like layers all over my head. Symptoms are like itching, hairfall, white hair, layer of dandruff falling, puss wen I rub it. My head skin became black like deadskin in the infected places. Few months back I went to tirupati and I have given my hair but the person told he can't clearly shave my head because there are some thick layers and it look black layer marks allover my head. Am sure it's definitely not dandruff but I cant get rid of it using any kind of shampoo or medication. Please help me with some solution. Thank you.

Care AI Shimmer
Greetings. SEBORRHOEA CAPITIS/ SEBORRHOIEC DERMATITIS OR DANDRUFF is a chronic problem. Please note. Avoid using oils on scalp. This acts as food for fungus causing dandruff. You can apply it only at the hair part and not the scalp for short durations if you wish to. Secondly wash hair with antifungal / low strength corticosteroid based shampoos. Use maintenance shampoos regularly. You may need a course of oral antifungals if your condition is severe. See a dermatologist near you. Hope this helps. Warm regards Dr Govind S Mittal. Excel care hospital, Bangalore. PS - IF U FEL ITS NOT DANDRUFF - THEN PLZ SEE A QUALIFIED DERMATOLOGSIT OR ATLEAST PUT IN PICTURES OF THE SAME / PUT UP YOUR QUERIES ON FOLLOW UP MESSAGING OR PRACTO DIRECT CONSULT.
