Covid duration of isolation
Hi, I got covid on 1st may'2021.It was positive in rt pcr. I am taking proper medicine as prescribed by doctor.Today again I went for rt pcr it's showing positive.I feel like today 12 th so will be show negative. What is isolation period?

Hello Usually isolation period is 14 days ...no need to do repeat rtpcr  test if there is no symptoms after 14 days.

14 days is isolation and incubation period so u have to wait for atlest 14 days
Next Steps
wait for 5 more days with keeping ur tabs continue then go for RT PCR test again

Isolation period 14 days Test results can show positive even upto 3 months Therefore RTPCR Is only done if any Covid 19 symptoms present

Isolation for 14 days.. If symptoms persist or worsens go for a blood test Cbc, d dimer, crp, interleukin 6.. or a hrct chest..
Next Steps
if no symptoms.. maintain precautions.. no need for repeat rtpcr... you are recovering.
