Covid 7 days over, surgery planning
Hi, I was detected Covid positive last Tuesday. Today is 7th day. I need to undergo Blind Fistula surgery. Do I need to wait any further to undergo surgery? If yes, how many days? Which test to undergo RTPCR or Rapid Antigen? Fistula is very painful, all day it pains, so want to undergo surgery asap. Kindly advise. (Ahmedabad, Gujrat)

Wait for another 7 days. A total of 14 days is enough for most of the positive patients. After that you can easily opt for surgery
Next Steps
repeat RTPCR after 7 days / on 14th day since first positive date

Not an emergency surgery needed though, if abscess formation then i&d can be done. For fistula surgery, you can wait some more around 2-3weeks
