Hello ma'am. given that you have multiple comorbidities the timing of your vaccination needs to be decided by a consultant , after an in-depth analysis of your disease activity status ( RA). The vaccine is safe for those with connective tissue disorders since the benefits are aplenty. However , the timing of your vaccination needs to be assessed as per your current health status.
Next Steps
Consult with me online for decision regarding the vaccination and for understanding your current disease activity status.
Health Tips
If you are staying in a hilly area , cold region, else if you are involved in regular exposure with cold water, take due precautions for Raynauds phenomenon. avoid cold exposure , wear gloves and socks. wear masks at public places.
This is a very interesting case.
There are no safety studies of vaccines in autoimmune patients or anybody with a serious illness for that matter. So your Family Dr might be correct.
On the other hand, a lot of the long term complications of Covid-19 including death (which is extremely rare) have an underlying autoimmune pathology. By that logic, you should be the first one to get a vaccine.
But as I said... Very interesting case... No correct answer.
