History is 3 days old so don't panic. But blood in sputum is not a good sign. Further evaluation is essential. Origin of blood is either from lungs or GI tract.

Hello. Very Good morning. I'm Dr.Yogesh Kr Sharma. If you tell any doctor, that you are coughing up blood, he or she most probably think of Pulmonory Tuberculosis. Rusty Type coughed up blood can be seen in pnemonia. But as far as acute bronchitis is concerned, Haemoptysis ( coughing up blood), is rare. I advice you to take immediate action so that differential diagnosis can be made quickly and treatment can be started quickly. Please don't take unnecessary stress and stop worrying.
