My mother having continuous cough problem,means white cough disturbes & comes out again and again n if she doesnt gets it discharged,she feels like something's being stuck in throat till she spits it out.V been to many doctors like Alopathy,allergy tests,chest x-ray,MRI,cough sample test etc. but no relief yet.plz sugg

There can be many causes for chronic cough. Most common cause is allergic airway disease such as asthma and allergic bronchitis. Many times all routine investigations can turn out to be normal in these conditions. Other cause for throat irritation with cough is reflux laryngopharyngitis. Here stomach acid spills into throat and causes irritation of throat and chronic spasmodic cough.
