Asked for Male, 24 Years

I had cough and runny nose 1 month ago as i caught a cold.But since that although the cold had subsided the cough is there along and also slight pain in the ear lower part whenevr i sip something cold like water or ice cream.

You might be suffering from post viral cough which is a common type of dry cough syndrome after an attack of viral upper respiratory tract infection with eustachian tube dysfunction which usually occurs secondary to common cold or viral upper respiratory tract infection. Usually both this conditions are self resolving and you can take over the counter analgesics and anti cough preparations for symptomatic relief
