Cough and Running Nose

Asked for Male, 1 Years

Hello Drs. My son's age is 13 months, he has fever with cough and running nose. We have given pacimol to him.. Now there is no fever. Bug still he has cough and running nose. Kindly suggest which medicine/syrup should I give to him. Or if you can recommend any effective home remedies. Please advise. Thanks and Regards Vipin Sahrawat

Hi Vipin, For running nose, you can use oxymetazoline hydrochloride (0.025%) nasal drops and cetrizine syrup. But since the baby has got cough, I would suggest you to consult your pediatrician as soon as possible becausebabies can get sick very quickly and it can be very severe.
