I have been having constipation for the past few months. My stools are often small hard pellets / dry stools and I frequently feel incomplete bowel evacuation. Even after passing stool, I feel like some stool is still left behind and rectum does not feel fully cleared. Sometimes I have the urge to pass stool but it does not come completely.
I noticed that squatting helps me empty better compared to sitting on a western toilet. I have increased water intake to around 3 L/day and diet is normal / controlled, but symptoms are still continuing.
Main symptoms:
* Hard pellet stools
* Incomplete evacuation
* Feeling of retained stool after bowel movement
* Ongoing for months despite hydration changes
Would like evaluation for cause of chronic constipation and incomplete evacuation.
