My five year old son constantly scratches his arms and legs off and on throughout the day. Ever since he was one,he suffers from chronic itch.Doctors say its because of insect/mosquitoe bites. He wears full sleeved clothes all day as its Winters here. Still manages to scratch and draw blood. It's painful for him as well as me. All sorts of corticosteroid creams and ointments used. No relief from itchiness . No medication seems to help. Kindly suggest what should I do. He has unsightly marks

This is called atopic eczema. Eczema has to be treated in the acute stage and later some precautions can help minimise the recurrences. Do not use soap over the affected areas. Please call me or contact me through online consult option with photos for accurate diagnosis and treatment.
