My female friend visited a pulmonologist who is a chest specialist for common cold diagnosis.
He checked the mouth, ears and the nose. Then all of a sudden he starts examining the chest without the consent of the patient, the whole time he did not use the stethoscope and he laid hands on the upper chest which seemed acceptable and then he holds his hand palm flat and was holding the side of the breast part.
My question is he can always use a stethoscope for doing all this,as the person is a female and he is carring out a sensitive exam, Is that the standard procedure in India ? If it is then i ll accept that it is related to health and there was no misconduct, please advise and enlighten me
