I work in the IT industry and my work involves sitting for longer periods. I experience too much pain during early mornings. Pain mostly occurs in upper back and sometimes in the lower back also. I go for early morning walks which gives reliefs for a brief duration only. Please suggest if I should do any specific exercise or do I need a medication.
Due to this I have difficulties in giving my 100 % at job and home.

For sure the pain is due to prolonged sitting. Only walking is not going to help!
Medication will provide relief only on temporary basis!
So you just need to do proper exercises under supervision
What's your height?
You can start with Bhujangasana or Spinal extension exercise... 5 reparations twice a day.
Take hot pack before exercise of pain is intense
