Cholestorel

My wife always had lower limit cholestorel & no family history. After starting medicines for her high BP since 2 years now she has high cholestorel( 260 ).Her diet is zero fat since long. Can higher cholestorel be bcoz of hypertension drugs? Whom should we consult? We r at Ahmedabad.

Hello.. Yes few anti hypertensives does cause rise in cholesterol levels...but need to know if she is been on the anti hypertensives which cause that...its better to consult your family physician and change the medicines accordingly as well as start treatment for cholesterol levels
