Nodules in thyroid are very common lesions picked up by scans. They may not be significant most of the times. You may need to get ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration cytology of the thyroid nodules to make sure that they are benign. Also you need to get thyroid function tests to rule out hyperthyroidism
