Changing Trop T Level
I had two Trop Ts in ER one in June which comes 4.69 and one today which was 7.97. Both were told normal. Does the different readings make any significance ? Secondly I have chest pain in the morning in sleep at around 4 am but my Trop 'T was conducted 10 hours later at 2 pm. So Trop T should have peaked by that time or it could go further more ? I have heart Trop T levels are elevated 12 hours after heart attack

Troponin is a protein inside cardiac muscles so unless there is a muscle lysis it doesn’t release into blood. Trop T following a myocardial infarction rises immediately but it peaks by 12 hrs and slowly vanishes in a week. It has to be corroborated with ECG and ECHO to give a final diagnosis when in doubt
