Care after sphincterectomy
I have got operated for external haemerrhoids.. lateral sphincterectomy with excision of tags were done it's been a month now.. stitches are gone pain is gone but there is hardness in the anal area also i am feeling swelling in the joer peri anal area .. i keep fast for the whole day,so i feel quite difficulty to pass the stool ..is this the reason for the same ?

Welcome and Good Morning Your concern 1. Operated for external haemorrhoids..     Lateral sphincterotomy with excision of       tags a month before 2. Stitches removed, no Pain. 3. Feeling HARDNESS in anal area and     SWELLING IN PERIANAL REGION HARDNESS and swelling could be normal or abnormal finding post operatively. It can be judged Clinically & accordingly management can be resorted. 4. I keep fasting whole day...So I feel quite     difficult to pass the STOOL... Is this the     reason for the same. Although there are various causes of constipation. This could be the reason.
