Can safety goggle sun protect?

Asked for Male, 25 Years

I am a civil engineer. Working whole day on site in sun exposure. Thats why my eyes getting red and like pterigium in eye. Would safety goggles 400 with 100 % uv (Brand claim) protection is useful for me? and having any side effects if eye wear it whole day?

Yes the glasses that absorb UV light are useful. I highly recommend them. They cut down on glare as well. Go for an established brand that can also make prescription lenses for you. Wearing a hat or a cap with visor also helps reduce exposure to sunlight.
