I have had dendrophobia for almost 20 years now. Can it ever be treated? I am generally fine during the day or when accompanied by other people, but get severe anxiety and panic attacks when faced with a tree at night. I need to plan my accomodation and travels very carefully to avoid being around trees at night, but it's almost never guaranteed which also causes me anxiety. The thicker the foliage of the tree, the higher is my anxiety and panic, which increases exponentially at night, since you can't differentiate between the leaves at night and the tree foliages appear thicker and denser than they are.
