Burning itching sensation on thigh
For the last few days i have had a warm to the touch, slightly swollen area on my outer thigh. It is tender, not red, itchy/burning. I am pregnant, did have an injection of anti nausia meds in that thigh just above that had been pus filled a few days prior. Looked up symptoms, hope its not phlebitis. Need to know what to do. Dont want to go to the er without proper cause, but want to make sure i go if i need to.

You may be suffering from tinea cruris which is fungal infection of the inner thighs and buttocks area. It can be treated by taking four to six weeks of anti fungal treatment which includes tablets along with creams. Do not use soap over that area. Mistreatment with over the counter Steroid containing creams like fourderm, panderm, quadriderm, hh zole, candid b etc lead to repeated case of recurrence and also side effects due to application.
