Burn Advice
I had a burn on fingers of size about 1 inch 2 days before from crackers. The burn initially was treated with cold water & some ointment for burn. But now that place has swelled and leaking some clear pus. The pain also has increased comparatively. Wanted advice on whether I need to visit a clinic or how else it can be treated at home.

Hello mam....  First of all sorry to hear about the incident.  Cracker burns will not be the same kind of superficial burns what u get while cooking,  or when coming in contact with hot liquids etc...  The latterone,  u can go away with few of the home remedies n burn ointments,  which again are available in plenty n unspecific... The cracker burns however are high intensity burns,  with lot of soft tissue damage and associated foreign materials like gunpowder deposition,  which causes lot of infection.  The earliest u take an appointment and show it to me or any other hand surgeon,  the better.  Thorough wash under local anesthesia n further management will be required.
